At TriMed Group, LLC in Connecticut our goal is to reduce pain through a multidisciplinary approach and to rehabilitate the patient to a productive lifestyle. We specialize in treating all types of pain and assist individuals whose pain has not responded to conventional medical and/or surgical treatments. We understand that everyone experiences pain differently. Each patient has a specific requirement for the proper medical treatment that would be most effective for him/her. Together with our Dr.s, we will design a regiment that is tailor made to each patients specific needs. - It is our policy to only accept patients 18 and older. This is a requirement to see a doctor at our pain
clinic CT office, have an MRI/CT scan or some other type of document showing
your pain and a photo ID. It is a requirement that all documents such as medical records, pharmacy report of the past 3 months and MRI or CT scan is faxed / dropped off / mailed before your visit.
- Also, if you have a pharmacy printout of pain treatment history and
medication pill bottles you have been taking it would be helpful.
- For the first visit, you will need an appointment. We take
new patients on a walk-in basis and you can come in Monday to
Friday from 9am-2pm. The first visit is $400 and follow-up visits
(scheduled every 28 days) are $300.
Patient Care Requirements:
- 1st visit blood composite test which includes chemistry CBC -
CBC - complete blood count test for blood disorders such as leukemia, anemia, and blood clotting.
Chemistry panel - provides information about electrolytes, kidneys and liver function
Blood pressure - checks your blood pressure levels
Panel drug screen - test for prescription drugs and substances
- Liver, kidney function, thyroid -
Thyroid - analyzes thyroid function and signs of hyper- and hypothyroidism
- 1st visit diagnostic imaging, MRI’s and CAT scans -
MRI- An MRI scan is generally considered to be the single best imaging study of the spine to help plan treatment for back pain. decompression or a lumbar spinal fusion. decompression or a lumbar spinal fusion. MRI scans are extremely sensitive to picking up information about the health of the discs, as well as the presence of any tumors or a lumbar disc herniation (see below image) that pinches the nerve roots and causes back pain. to seek the help of a physician. Pain is the second most common
reason that people visit doctors, exceeded only by cold and upper
respiratory infections. However, The National Institute of Health
claims that 40 million Americans are unable to find relief from
their chronic discomfort.
At office, our knowledge of chronic pain treatment is far
greater than that of regular physicians. We are very dedicated to
providing all of our patients with the most effective chronic pain
management, and follow a course of conservative medical pain

At our pain clinic CT office our goal is pain alleviation—a goal often attained by our expert staff; however when it is not possible to completely get rid of the ache through chronic pain treatment and pain medication, we can assure you that we do our best to make the ache tolerable and improve the patients’ functional status.
Pain MedicationAt TriMed Group, LLC, we specialize in treating chronic distress through
the use of pain medication. Due to the rapid advances of
modern medicine, there are now many varied pain treatments
available. The degree of ache varies from person to person, so your
treatment plan will be tailored to your specific needs and
circumstances. At Pain Clinic CT, pain medication treatment may include a single
approach or a combination of pain medications such as:
- Painkillers
- Anti-inflammatory drugs
- Antidepressants
- Anti-seizure medicines
- Other medicines
Your pain management physician at, TriMed Group, LLC, CT - Pain Clinic CT, may prescribe other types of medicine that are more specific
to the type
of pain you are experiencing.
Initial
Consultation - $400
- Comprehensive examination by a pain management staff
physician
- Evaluation of medical history and records
- Set personal goals
- Development of individualized pain management plan
- Assessment guidelines for continuum of care
- Thorough explanation of appropriate pain medications
- Office visit: 25-45 minutes
If necessary:
- Additional screening and diagnostic testing referrals (MRI,
etc.)
- Referrals to non-pharmacological treatment facilities
(physical therapy, etc.)
Continuum of Care - $300
- Meet with clinic’s physician and other pain management
professionals
- Evaluation of individualized pain management plan
- Review of personal goals and quality of life enhancements,
including work activities/requirements and social
interactions/relationships
- Evaluation of any new testing or reports for physicians
- Continuation of pharmacological protocol
- Office visit every 28 days required
If necessary:
- Referrals for additional testing or evaluation
- Adjustment of pain management medication protocol
Office Policies
Our goal is to provide the highest standard of medical care and patient safety. To help insure that only patients legitimately require pain management medication, receive it, and to help prevent drug diversion, we employ the following office policies with NO EXCEPTIONS:
- It is our policy to only accept patients 18 and older.
- State-issued ID is required. No copies accepted. ID’s will be verified
- MRI or CT scan must not be older than 2 years and will be verified.
- All patients are drug tested during the initial visit AND during follow up visits.
Female patients of child bearing age are pregnancy tested during the initial visit AND during follow up visits.
- Patients are examined by the doctor at every visit - no exceptions.
- Medical history records must be provided - no exceptions.
- Pharmacy history records must be provided - no exceptions.
- Grounds for dismissal:
- Failed drug tests (using illegal drugs and/or not taking pain medication as prescribed).
- Falcifying documentation
- Prescription lost.
- Medication Stolen.
- Offering to purchase other patient’s medication.
- Doctor Shopping (will be reported to the police).
- Rudeness to staff.
Whether you’re a new patient or a walk-in, if you are seeking treatment
for pain you must have the following:
- Printed prescription/pharmacy profile showing all medications
prescribed to you within the last 6 months
- Prior and current prescription medication bottles with labels showing
your name (pills may be counted at your visit) - 3 months prior to present date no exceptions
- Discharge letter from your prior/current clinic/doctor
- Written MRI report if you have had an MRI
If you are not currently being treated for pain and have not seen a
physician for pain treatment in the last 60 days and have not been on
pain medication for pain our physicians will examine, diagnose, and
evaluate your condition and based on that evaluation, treat your
condition accordingly. This does not by any means mean that you will
receive medication based on your request or desire. If you are on a
current regimen of treatment for pain by medication by a licensed
medical facility/physician and have all verifiable documentation to
validate this, our physicians will evaluate your pain, physical and
mental condition that may be affecting that pain and at that time will
treat that condition in a manner that would be most effective and
conforming to medical normalcy.
Forms
Having your medical records verified before you arrive will save you
from sitting in our office while we wait for your pharmacy, MRI/CAT SCAN
and/or previous doctor’s records to be sent. Please fax back to us at
203-740-2872 at least 5 days before your scheduled appointment.
Walk-Ins
We welcome walk-ins, but due to our prior medical history verification process, in some cases we may not be able to see a patient that day. For more efficient service please download our consent form located in the forms section and complete it with your pharmacy, doctor, and mri information and fax it back to us at least 5 days prior to your arrival so we can pre-verify your records. To make an appointment, please list your phone number and preferred date and time and we will do our best to accommodate your request. A member of our friendly staff will call you back to confirm your appointment within 24 hours.
The best days for walk-ins for
us are Mondays and Thursday as we have 2 physicians here on those
days. Please do not show up before 8:30. No walk-ins will be taken
after 2:00 PM.
Please be sure to familiarize yourself with 1st visit requirements as outlined above. Also, if you are a brand new patient to pain mangement you will need to get the following: MRI or CT scan, blood work, a copy of your medical records from your primary physician with a letter of referral to pain mangement.
